## Understanding Urban Air Mobility (UAM)

Urban Air Mobility (UAM) encompasses a transportation ecosystem where on-demand aviation services are used in urban and suburban environments. Think of it as a three-dimensional transportation network leveraging electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft and drone delivery services. UAM aims to alleviate ground-based traffic congestion, reduce commute times, and provide a more efficient and sustainable mode of transportation for people and goods.
