## What is Glitch Art?

Glitch art, at its core, is the intentional manipulation of digital data streams to create visually striking and often surreal effects. It's about embracing the unexpected errors and imperfections inherent in technology, turning digital malfunctions into a unique artistic medium. Think corrupted images, fractured videos, and distorted audio – all meticulously crafted to produce a specific aesthetic. It's a rebellion against the pristine perfection often associated with digital imagery, a celebration of the chaotic beauty found within the digital abyss. ![A captivating example of glitch art featuring a distorted portrait](https://images.unsplash.com/photo-1598029018509-3cceeec6faba?q=85&w=1200&fit=max&fm=webp&auto=compress)
